  1. 1 out of 5 Doesn't Dissolve and Odd Taste

    Timothy “Boz” Bossert

I do not normally write reviews and generally do not try to be negative about products, though there are so many great reviews on the unflavored multivitamin powder I just have to comment. My first observation is that it is not unflavored, not sure what flavor you would call it, but it truly makes drinking my protein shake unenjoyable. My second observation is in agreement with the customer who wrote it is Just Sand۝, I completely agree, it does not dissolve in my protein shake and when you get to the end, it really is like getting a mouth full of sand. I purchased this product because I didn۪t want to have to drink a separate drink after surgery and with so many great reviews, I figured one person might have an ax to grind, not so. I love the concept of this company and luckily they sent me a sample of their new lemon flavor vitamin mix, which was Fantastic, so I ordered three months of that product. It is true I will have to drink it separately from my protein, but it will be worth it! I can honestly say once I receive my lemon vitamin mix, the unflavored mix will be in the trash_I will sacrifice $31.99 because I just cannot stomach it!

  2. 1 out of 5 Sand. just Sand

    Julie

I was told this was a great product to put in protein shakes. That is not true. Its sand. So horrible. I would highly encourage you to pick the Cherry Berry. I kept taking it for months after I was allowed to move on to tablets because it was one quick swallow and I was done. I drink a sip of crystal light, dropped a scoop of powder in my mouth, another sip of crystal light, swallowed, and done. Pills were challenging for months because it required so much fluid to get three pills down. The powder was only one sip. The cherry berry flavor was great and matched well with the cherry crystal light I used. I think this is the best post op immediate use product there is.

I love putting this in my chocolate protein shake that I have in the morning and at night. It has made taking vitamins so much easier for me. Definitely recommend this one

As a rouxen-Y patient i have always struggled with the large mulivitamin capsules and chewable pills. This product is great! It mixes well with yogurt or protein shakes and is not gritty! You don’t even taste it! Great way to get your daily multivitamin.

Even though this is a “big” pill to swallow, it is not hard to swallow!! Since my surgery, and after taking the powder vitamins for awhile, I found the pill form is much better to take.

I haven’t tried this in food but I have tried it in chocolate milk and orange juice. It isn’t so bad after you get used to it. I think it is better with the choc. milk because the milk is already kinda of thick. Just remember to keep stirring it up.

I’m going to have to be brutally honest…it’s HORRIBLE! I have the grit free – still gritty and yucky. I’m only about two weeks out from surgery and I can’t wait till I can switch to pills. So many of the Bari Life products are really good but this ain’t one of them. People take the vitamins even though they’re nasty because it is crucial; staff please try to find a better alternative, I’d rather have a shot then this lol.

Pros: I like the idea of flavorless and you don’t have to worry about taking extra b12 or iron or calcium citrate. Cons: The calcium settles at the bottom of whatever you mix it with and stays there. When you mix it with food it changes the flavor and color and I found it hard to tolerate. I am trying the regular vitamins now instead. Pricey but its all in one which is great instead of following a crazy vitamin schedule.
