What about Calcium & Iron together?

Bari Life provides complete nutritional supplementation, including calcium and iron, in a simple all-in-one product! Recent studies reinforce the conclusion that iron does not require a separate dosage. Bari Life’s study clearly shows no issues with calcium and iron absorption, as compliant patients had decreased their odds of developing an iron deficiency by 80%!

It’s all about the form of Iron!

It’s true that calcium can interfere with iron absorption, but recent studies have shown that it’s all about the source of the iron. There are 2 main forms of iron: Heme iron and Non-Heme iron. Heme iron is found in red meats, poultry and fish. Non-Heme iron is found in plants and animal tissue and it is also the form of iron used in vitamin supplements. The studies show that non-heme iron has little to no competition with calcium. In other words you are able to take your iron supplements and your calcium supplements together without worrying about absorbing the iron. While this is true for non-heme iron found in vitamin supplements, you should not eat a steak and then expect to absorb the iron if you choose to consume a calcium supplement shortly before or after.
