1/4 pound ground beef

1/2 stalk celery, chopped
1 tablespoon bell pepper, chopped
1 can tomato paste
1 tablespoon ground cumin
Salt and pepper to taste

1. In a skillet, combine beef, onions, celery, garlic, and bell pepper. Saute until beef is cooked thoroughly. Drain.
2. Place beef mixture in a large saucepan, along with protein powder, beans, tomato paste, and spices. Stir to combine and simmer for at least 10 minutes.
3. If soup seems too thick, stir in water one ounce at a time until it reaches desired consistency.
4. Continue to simmer until ready to serve.

Cooking tip: Chili is a dish that keeps well – in fact, many people feel that chili actually tastes better after “resting” overnight in the refrigerator. So, double or triple the above recipe in order to have leftovers for subsequent days. Consume within 4 days.
